Hi Everyone!

My name is Deja Addison and I'm a junior. My major is Mass Communication and my track is Journalism. My dream is to become a journalist for a prestigious magazine company and I hope to one day be an entrepreneur of my own magazine. In this class, I hope to gain a better knowledge of how technology is and can be vastly used in and throughout the media world.  I hope to become a better writer and I want to pick up skills that I can and most likely will be using in my future. 

This is it...Number 6!!

July 15th... July 15th... July 15th! Mark the day! If you haven't heard by now, there is a sequel Harry Potter movie coming out this summer. It is titled Harry Potter and The Half-Blood Prince. I'm very excited. I'am a personal fan of all the Harry Potter movies and I've seen all of them. I'm anxious to see how this turns out. This one is expected to be darker and scarier than the previous sequels! Who's excited? I'am I'am! I've been satisfied with all of the prior Harry Potter movies so I will confidently recommend this in advance!

Sex and the City

I'm extremely excited to announce that Sex and the City has an upcoming sequel!! Sex and the City 2 is set to be released on May 28, 2010 at a theatre near you. Last summer, box offices reported ringing in a whopping $ 57 million in the opening weekend. I enjoyed this movie so much. It was very comical and there were also sad "aww" moments where you could sympathize with the characters. I have no doubt that true fans of the sitcom will be lining up next year at theaters all over to see this sequel. The first one was a must see, this one should be a hit as well! I can't wait!

High School Musical...4!

That's right! After the release of HSM 3, Disney announced future plans for a HSM 4 that is believed to make its  debut appearance in theaters in 2010. This will show on the Disney Channel, not in theaters, as the first two did. In this particular HSM you can expect Disney to bring forth a new cast of characters! I'm sure kids and teens everywhere will be super excited for this upcoming movie!

200 lb Chimp Gone Wild

On Feb 17th, a family chimpanzee attacked a Connecticut woman which ultimately left her in critical condition. It is reported that the 200 pound chimp, Travis, wanted to go for a car ride in which is stole the car keys from the house. The owners tried to calm him down, but it didn't work. The family then called the police. When the police arrived the chimp went in retreat to attack the police car knocking off the mirror while trying to get the car door open. The policer officer in the car pulled out his gun and shot at the chimp several times. Travis brutally attacked a family friend, biting and clawing at her face. It was then that the owner, a 70-year-old woman got a butcher knife and stabbed travis. After being stabbed, travis went back to his cage, his place of comfort, where he died.

This story was extremely shocking and ridiculous! This was not the first time Travis went out of control. In 2003, it was reported that while in the car, Travis jumped out in the middle of traffic causing a tremendous seen. It seems to me that Travis was out of control and should have been put away a while ago. I also find it shockingly crazy that the chimp was 200 pounds! I don't weigh that much! Not even close. It's sad that Travis had to die because the family really loved him, but what is most important is the recovery of the woman.

Idol Fever!

Season 8 of the very popular Tv special, American Idol, has started and will be on its way! The top 36 contestants were revealed Wednesday night. I believe this season is going to be great and a true American idol will really be born at the end of the journey. The judges did a good job with choosing the contestants that would be moving on to Hollywood. What do you think will come out of Season 8?

First Lady Obama & Her keen Fashion Sense

It is no surprise that First Lady Michelle Obama is still the talk of the town! She is such an admirable woman, not to mention a woman with impeccable style. Entertainment Tonight has a extensive gallery of Michelle's first 100 days of fashion. As a lover of fashion, I would have to say her style is on point! She's very conservative but she also has some edginess to her, with the mix and matching and extra flair! Michelle Obama is a fashion icon in the making!
